Weekly Photo Challenge: One Shot Two Ways

This isn’t exactly what I had in mind. Things have been really busy so I’m going with something quick and something that tells a little about what I have been up to this week.

I have been working on a wig. I couldn’t find what I wanted in the store so I got some yarn and started making one. The wig isn’t finished yet but I have so much to do between now and tomorrow night I can’t stop to show you everything! When the whole costume is done I’ll take some more pictures.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Foreshadow

baby lizard

I found this tiny lizard on my desk a while back and put a hair pin in the frame to give a sense of scale. I used a flashlight instead of my camera flash so he wouldn’t get repeatedly flashed with light in his eyes.

Perhaps he has plans to take over my house. He definitely will grown into a bigger lizard and need to be scooted out of the house if he doesn’t leave of his own accord. For now however, I’m fine with this little fella checking out my CDs.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Masterpiece

A masterpiece, to me, whether it is a meal, a structure or a painting, is made up of things, that when combined, form something very satisfying or pleasing to the senses.

Frozen banana, avocado, cocoa, honey and peanut butter.

Not everyone will agree on what is or isn’t a masterpiece. Sometimes a masterpiece is controversial or abrupt and other times it is subtle or unassuming. Regardless it stirs something within a person.

In the end, a masterpiece is devoured repeatedly as we try to fathom what brought the creation to life. However, the simple fact of the matter is, it is all about getting the combination of those initial things just right.

From there, a masterpiece creates a life all of its own.
